- 140/25. Matters Requested by Councillors and/or AOB.
Following some issues the defibrillator is live again on the Circuit and its details are up to date. The pads have been replaced and their expiry date updated in the portal. The caretaker has informed the clerk on a small amount of damage to the sprung floor, it’s 5 years since the floor was last sanded and restored. Williams Floor Restorations have attended the hall to complete a quotation for the replacement of damaged boards in the main hall area. In general, the Williams contractor stated that the floor was OK but a re-sanding was recommended in due course.
There are five parish council grit bins around Thrybergh with a sixth currently stored in the hall while the parish council consider a new location. The parish council will now need to complete a planning application to position this grit bin. The clerk will progress with highlighting options discussed for further consideration at the December meeting.
RMBC is only providing grit salt to the parish council if it is purchased loose and in bulk. This is not a practical option and the clerk has confirmed that as an alternative approach 25kg bags can be purchased from a number of local sources. Councillor M Senior is to liaise with the clerk to establish the most practical, cost effective solution for the parish council.
The second team using the pitch on Hollings Lane have now decided to move to a new location. This leaves just one team currently utilising the pitch at a rate of £50 per game played.
There is a carol service at St Leonards on Saturday 20th December at 6pm. It was decided that Councillor A Martin will attend on behalf of the parish council and is prepared to complete a reading if requested.
