1. To receive apologies for absence given in advance of the meeting.

2. To consider the approval of reasons given for absence.

3. Declarations of Interest

To receive any declarations of interest not already declared under the council’s code of conduct or members Register of Disclosable Pecuniary Interests.

4. Questions from the public

This is a public session, members of the public will adhere to the rules set by the council for this session. Thirty minutes are allowed to raise issues and ask questions of the Parish Council.

5. Minutes of the previous Parish Council meeting held on Thursday 4th January 2024

To approve the minutes as a correct record, for signature by the Chairman.

6. Matters Arising

To receive information on the following ongoing issues and decide further action where necessary. 

  • Coronation of King Charles III - to update council on plaque for the Rowan tree planted as part of the celebrations.
  • Planning applications RB2023/1214 for tree works on School lane - to update council on new applications RB2024/0028 which replaces the original application which has been cancelled
  • Brassed off Screening - to update council on the screening of the film Brassed off in the hall, event organised by the Silverwood Heritage Soceity
  • Planning Application RB2024/0827/0829&0830 - Update on Deer Park Farm application to charge use of storage buildins to dell shop, retail antiques emporium unit and o change use to retail unit with portion of warehousing and storage use.
  • Planning Application RB2024/0009- Update on Deer Park Farm to erect timber gazebos to cover external seating
  • Closure of Parish Council Account with HSBC - To update council on state of account.

7. Police Report

To update council on the latest local crime statistics.

8. Trust Fire

To approve incoices received from Trust Fire for annual service and tesing of Fire alarm, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers and to fit new LED Emergency Exit Lights and fit new Fire Alarm Control battery packs.

9. Ryan Askew Electricals

To approve invoice for electrical work in the Parish Hall

10. PN Alarms

To approve annual service contract for intruder & CCTV systems

11. Force Contracts

To approve annual gas service of boiler/vooker hob and subsequent repairs to boiler system

12. Planning Application RB2024/0205

Application to vary/discharge application on land to the rear of 13-37 Vale Avenue

13. Pantomime for December

To advise Concil on the pantomime and approve the booking.

14. Correspondence

To consider the following new Correspondence received and decide action where necessary.
